Extending Mind and Cognition, Not Just the Body: JIZAI ARMS

JIZAI ARMS, from the University of Tokyo, treats extra robotic limbs as shareable and swappable interfaces. This creates an experimental playground for proprioception, body schema, and shared agency between humans and robots.

I attended the IRCN course at UTokyo in 2024 and was deeply impressed by both the campus and the university. This line of work blends science and art in a compelling way.
