Hemispheric Wilson-Cowan Model
Modeling resting-state functional connectivity with asymmetric intra- and inter-hemispheric coupling.

- Figure 1: Schematic of the hemispheric-specific Wilson-Cowan model. Unlike the standard global-coupling formulation, this approach distinguishes between intra-hemispheric and inter-hemispheric interactions when mapping structural connectivity onto functional connectivity [Plüss et al. (2026)].
We use connectome-based whole-brain modeling to study how large-scale brain structure shapes resting-state functional connectivity. In this project, we extend the Wilson-Cowan model by introducing hemispheric-specific coupling and evaluate its performance in control and schizophrenia datasets.
